30 inch tapetry, loomed

The piece is a tapestry that chronologically tributing my relationship with my hometown, Chongqing.
I chose to use looming machine as I find the action of weave and wrap during the production similar to the unraveling memory when I think of the city. The tactile took reference from quipu(knot record) invented by the Inca Empire during the 15th century; noted Inca is also one of the origin of weaving.
